1. Activate the complete M-Mode function, place the guide in position on the Thracian axis M-Mode where we want to measure the aortic diameter and fixed the axis guide with a click of the mouse. The separate measures of the aorta, left atrium and left ventricle are activated with separate functions in the screen sizes and feature the same steps.

2. Position the cursor on the anterior wall of the aorta. Click with the left mouse button. Holding down the left mouse button, drag the cursor to the posterior limit of the aortic wall. Releasing the mouse button sets the lower limit of the measure that will appear in the result. At the same time see a second vertical axis guide with a request to place it where we want to measure the diameter of the left.

3. Click with the left mouse button. Holding down the left mouse button, drag the cursor to the edge of the rear wall of the left. Releasing the mouse button sets the lower limit of the measure that will appear in the result. |

4. It's prompted to change DICOM file (go to 2 as shown) which gives an M-Mode of left ventricle. It's asked in sequence to set the axis guide to measure the thickness of the interventricular septum diastolic diameter of left ventricle and then the thickness of the back wall. It's fixed axis guide with a click of the mouse. Position the cursor on the front edge of the septum. Clicking again holding down the mouse button and drag the line to the lower limit. You release the mouse button by setting the lower limit of the measure. Repeat this for all the required measures. |

5. It's prompted to place the vertical axis guide (after having measured the thickness of the posterior wall diastolic) on measures for left ventricular systolic phase. Repeat transactions for the diastolic phase.
